Sunny, airy 3rd-floor apartment on a quiet street in a lively part of town in the heart of the city. 6 blocks from Wicker Park, 2 miles from downtown, on a quiet street in a pleasant, safe neighborhood. Divvy bike share station at the corner, grocery store 1 block away. Many great restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops within walking distance. Private bedroom, private bathroom (shower, no bath) down the hall, hair dryer, iron, washer/dryer, printer available. Small east facing balcony, and great air circulation in the apartment, so air conditioning is rarely needed, but available if preferred. This is a no smoking home. I am an outgoing single woman, recently retired publishing professional, 30 year resident of Chicago, nonsmoker, knowledgeable about the city, and interested in travel and other cultures. I love to cook, and am happy to share meals at times, but don't want to provide all meals. If you like to cook, I have a small but well-equipped kitchen and am an adventurous eater. light breakfast provided.

Mary is a wonderful host! The home was clean and beautifully appointed. The bed was super comfortable too. The location is excellent with a short bus ride into the city. Mary is a delightful lady who made me feel very welcome.

The flat very pleasant, clear and useful to visit, with the bus stop nearby. Mary is really an amazing hostess, always ready to help : I was alone in Chicago, she printed maps for me, explained the best visits to do, phoned for me to book, went with me several times for visiting or for dinner , found for us a free promotional tour about architecture. I couldn't dream about a so wonderful stay, thanks again Mary for your warm welcome. I hope to meet you again very soon.

Mary was extremely nice and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home at her place. Her apartment is very spacious, clean and very beautiful. Guest have their own bathroom, which is very nice. We loved staying with Mary and getting to know her. Could not have hoped for a better host or apartment for our stay in Chicago!

I booked this homestay for my father who came to visit me her in Chicago and was extremely pleased. Mary went above and beyond what was necessary to make his stay in her home and in Chicago enjoyable. She gave us suggestions of some great activities to do, baked us cookies, and even offered us umbrellas on a day when the forecast predicted rain. Definitely will book with her again if the occasion presents itself.

J'ai passé un séjour très agréable à Chicago chez Mary. Très bon accueil, grande disponibilité. L'appartement est idéalement situé au premier et dernier étage d'une maison dans un quartier résidentiel et calme. L’arrêt du bus 66 qui mène en quelques minutes à Downtown est juste à côté. Le petit déjeuner est excellent.
